Yesterday, Jiashan County held a Science and Technology Innovation Conference and the ‘Xiangfu Talents’ Gathering, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship and promoting the ‘Xiangfu Talents’ brand. Municipal and county leaders, including Hong Hupeng, Xu Mingyang, He QuanGen and Zhang Xifeng, attended the conference. Invited guests included Zhu Rixiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and geophysicist; Xu Lei, Vice-Chancellor of Fudan University; Feng Yecheng, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute; and Wei Xicheng, Deputy Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shanghai University.

In his address, Hong Hupeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Jiashan County Party Committee, stated that in recent years, Jiashan has vigorously implemented development strategies centred on innovation and talent, creating a favourable environment where talent drives innovation, innovation propels industry, and industry attracts talent. The company was honoured with two awards: ‘Top Ten Advanced Enterprises in Talent Work for 2020’ and ‘Provincial-Level Science and Technology Talent (Team) for 2020’.
