Shanghai SGR takes part in SEMICON Week

Having been the world’s largest semiconductor exhibition for eight consecutive years, SEMICON China continues to lead the way as it enters its ninth year. The event brings together guests from more than 50 countries and regions around the world, alongside over 1,200 exhibitors, more than 4,000 exhibition stands and over 100,000 trade visitors. It is a major industry gathering covering the entire supply chain, from chip design and manufacturing to packaging and testing, as well as equipment, materials suppliers and service providers. Held concurrently, the Munich Electronics Exhibition, as a major electronics trade fair in Asia, is not only an industry exhibition but also a key event within the sector. Furthermore, the forums, technical competitions and live demonstration areas organised during the exhibition have consistently attracted the attention of an increasing number of exhibitors and visitors through their coverage of hot industry topics, high-quality presentations and professional organisation, becoming another highlight of the event.

On the afternoon of 21 March, Shanghai Sijie Microelectronics participated in the 5th ‘Sensor and IoT Innovation Applications Seminar’ and delivered a presentation on millimetre-wave radar application technology. This seminar centred on global trends in the MEMS/sensor sector, focusing on innovative applications of MEMS/sensors in the consumer, automotive, industrial and biomedical sectors. Zhang Yinkan, Chief Applications Engineer at Sijie Microelectronics, delivered a presentation titled ‘Applications of Millimetre-Wave Radar in Smart Living’. By analysing the strengths and weaknesses of various smart sensing technologies currently available on the market, he used a range of vivid and illustrative application scenarios to demonstrate the inseparable relationship between millimetre-wave radar sensors and the smart living of the future.


That afternoon, Dr Zhu Xinen, Vice President of Research and Development at Sijie Microelectronics, was also invited to attend the ‘Strategic Seminar on Collaborative Innovation in Next-Generation Information Technology in the Yangtze River Delta’. To accelerate the process of collaborative innovation in the Yangtze River Delta, the National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Centre organised this seminar under the guidance of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Cooperation Office to explore the development of sensor technology and the industry, with a focus on the intelligent sensing systems application sector.
